Watching James Somerton, the guy who said an MDZS adaptation should have been made by the west because then it'd be gay, being evicerated by Hbomberguy is so fucking vindicating.

James Somerton has shown himself time and time again to be anti Asian every time he's covered queer Asian media. Like he did not understand Killing Stalking and Boys Love as a genre. Or the culture and nuance surrounding queer Asian media.

He just saw something that he thought mostly girls liked and then decided they were just straight women fetishizing gay men. When every single fujo I've met has been queer in some way or hasn't realised it yet.

Hell his argument about the Untamed doesn't even hold up when you understand the very heavy handed subtext that LWJ and WWX are still gay for each other. They just can't show it. It's a Good Omens season 1 situation when you know both characters are queer and consider each other soulmates, just their wasn't any explicit kissing.

Imagine the pair going to the bar, König lurking in the corner, unsure what to do with his hands, while some pretty girl clings to Reader's arm, whining about how the 'creepy tall man in the hood' is staring. how he's scaring her, batting her eyelashes, and practically begging him to walk her home. or better yet, let her "stay the night at yours, just in case he tries to remeber my address.."

It's no suprise when the pretty girl ends up in Reader's bed. But what IS surprising is that the hooded man DID follow them, all the way to Reader's flat, and is watching the two with a look of pure need and awe in his eyes.

It's also no suprise when she shrieks and tries to throw the nearest item at him. what IS a suprise is when Reader stops her, pinning her wrists.

"Of course he's here, he's my husband after all. He's no harm, doll. just wants to watch..."

Whilst König looks at the two with a pleading expression, that comes off as creepy to all but reader. He finds is absolutely delicious
